Narrative
PARADISE, NV – A Las Vegas man was taken into custody following a deadly crash in Paradise on Tuesday morning.
LVMPD responded to the scene at the intersection of Warm Springs Road and Tomiyaus Lane at about 11:42 a.m.
Witnesses told police that a Ford F-150 pickup truck was westbound on Warm Springs Rd. when it crossed the center line and collided head-on with an eastbound Nissan NV 200 van.
The Nissan’s driver, an unidentified 32-year-old man, suffered fatal injuries in the crash. At least three other individuals were hospitalized with unspecified injuries.
The driver of the Ford, 22-year-old Raul Gonzalez, was taken into custody after showing signs of impairment at the scene. He was subsequently booked into the Clark County Detention Center on DUI charges.
