Narrative
LAS VEGAS, NV – A male driver was hospitalized early Sunday morning after a two-vehicle collision at a busy intersection along the Las Vegas Strip.
The accident occurred around 3:10 a.m. in the area of South Valley View Boulevard and West Flamingo Road, which is just northeast of Palms Casino Resort.
The investigation thus far indicates that the driver of a northbound 2016 Toyota Tundra ran a red light and struck the side of an eastbound Toyota Corolla.
The driver of the Corolla sustained life-threatening injuries.
Police say the 49-year-old driver of the Tundra showed signs of impairment and was arrested. He sustained only minor charges.
The investigation is ongoing.
