Narrative

LAS VEGAS, NV – A 67-year-old pedestrian died last Wednesday from injuries sustained when a vehicle struck them along a sidewalk in the Paradise area.

The accident occurred before 8 a.m. in the area of  East Flamingo Road and South Pearl Street, which is just southeast of Las Vegas National Golf Course and west of I-515.

The investigation indicates that a Nissan Sentra left the roadway and struck a pedestrian on the sidewalk. The pedestrian had just exited an RTC bus. The Sentra also hit a pole before crashing into the shelter for the bus stop and then hitting the back of the RTC bus.

The pedestrian died after transport to a local hospital. Authorities have not yet released their identity.

Police say that the driver of the Sentra remained at the scene of the accident. Officials are still investigating what might have caused the driver to leave the roadway.

No other injuries have been cited in connection to the event. The investigation is ongoing.
