Narrative
LAS VEGAS, NV – An 18-year-old pedestrian died Friday morning when a vehicle struck him on a busy roadway south of Harry Reid International Airport.
The incident happened just before 1 a.m. on the southbound side of Las Vegas Boulevard just north of Arby Avenue and south of the airport.
Officials say the 18-year-old was crossing Las Vegas Boulevard outside of a designated crosswalk when a southbound 2011 Dodge Durango struck and killed him.
The 37-year-old driver displayed signs of impairment, for which he was arrested and taken into custody.
The investigation is ongoing.
