Narrative
LAS VEGAS, NV – One person died early Friday in a hit-and-run crash along a highway ramp in south-central Las Vegas.
The incident occurred around 2:12 a.m. on the westbound ramp from US-215 to I-15 northbound. This is just south of Town Square Las Vegas.
Police say the driver of a blue Ford had stopped along the shoulder of the ramp after running out of gas. A Nissan struck the driver of the disabled vehicle as they were putting gas in their car. The Nissan then fled the scene without stopping to render aid.
The pedestrian died from injuries sustained in the accident. Their identity has not yet been released to the public.
Authorities are looking for a Nissan Kicks in connection to the accident. Anyone with information or tips to share can contact the Las Vegas Police Department.
