Narrative
LAS VEGAS, NV – A 54-year-old man died on Wednesday after a pickup truck struck his motorcycle at a busy intersection in far east Las Vegas.
The accident occurred before 9 p.m. at East Lake Mead Boulevard and North Hollywood Boulevard, which is just southeast of Helen Herr Elementary School.
Police say that a westbound Dodge Ram truck carrying three adults and two children entered the path of an eastbound motorcycle while attempting to turn left. The bike crashed into the side of the truck, killing the motorcyclist. Authorities have not yet released the victim’s identity.
No other injuries have been reported in relation to the accident, and officials do not suspect impairment on the part of the pickup truck driver.
